A night sky dazzling with stars. No matter what direction you look in, you’re met by a sea of lights. Millions and millions of miles away. Some long since dead and others still burning bright wherever they may be positioned in our vast universe. Celestial bodies we can’t truly understand as humans, but manage to find meaning in.

Stories etched into them that tell of heroes and kings. Gods and saviors. Paths being traced by fate that a select few can seemingly understand.

Stars shining for the sole purpose of existence and brought to life by the minds of those gazing upon them.

Find your way to one star. Hold it in your view as tightly as you can and then zoom out just a bit. Once your eyes have a firm grasp on the starting line. Where is the next closest? Same process, hold it in your vision until you understand the relation between that one and the first then keep going. Keep tracing the path that your heart is grasping onto step by step. Go out until you can’t go anymore and once you’ve reached the end of your vision, remember this. Those stars span infinites to us. Lifetimes and fates we couldn’t possibly fathom as small pieces of this grand universe, but truth be told.

As long as that path you traced reaches back to me or makes it close enough that I can connect my own path of stars, I’d hop through all the eternities each one of those stars has lived just to spend a single second of that time with you. A second more for us with the desire for our own eternity among those stars.

Countless stories living in the sea of stars above our heads and inside of it, lives ours too. A story that I hope didn’t end too soon…
